Design of a Biofeedback device for use in perineal muscle rehabilitation.

Once the operating system was defined, and the data had been collected and processed, we worked on how to apply all of this to the morphology of the muscle concerned.

Before proceeding to the design stage, it was necessary to perform a range of tests on patients in order to collect data, determine good operation and then, develop the hardware and software.

To do this, we set the design of the “sensitive” component, made a functional prototype and a mould to simulate bi-injection, given the constraint of having the part in contact with the body made in silicone.

This made it possible for us to collect information on ergonomics, usability and size for the electronic component.

The next stage was the definitive design of all parts, followed by product engineering and industrialisation.
Definitive functional and aesthetic prototypes with the electronics on board, and once the operation was established, the moulds were made and production commenced.
